4colorsealjpg.jpg In order to be labeled “organic” and bear the U.S.D.A. Organic Seal, the product must contain a minimum of 95% organic ingredients and meet the U.S. National Organic Standard. They must be verified, inspected and certified by independent state or private organizations that have been accredited by the U.S.D.A. There are 3 categories that determine the labeling of organic products.

*100% Organic-made with 100% organic ingredients

*Organic-made with at least 95% organic ingredients

*made with Organic ingredients-made with at least 70% organic ingredients

The remaining 5-30% cannot contain any GMO’s and follows strict standards

Products that contain less than 70% organic ingredients can not claim to be organic on the front of the product but may list the organic ingredients in the label.
