I have a new respect for eating Organic foods. Since my top priority is my family, I want to feel and be the best that I can for them. I need all the energy and strength I can get to keep up with the kids. I know what I eat today will have an impact on my future health. I can’t imagine not being there for my children for their milestones because of my unhealthy eating habits.

I am not satisfied sitting on the sidelines while my children run and play, I want to be right there with them. Nothing can replace the joy on their face when you engage in activities with them.

My children are little sponges, they soak up everything we are doing around them and they want to be just like us. My daily habits are what influence my children’s choices. If I am lazy and eat unhealthy, guess what…..I am setting my children up for the same lifestyle. Children suffer the same health issues as adults and the majority of them can be linked to poor nutrition.

Feeling good and staying healthy will benefit your intimate life too. Everyone wants to look good and feel attractive to their significant other. Being unhealthy can lead to poor self esteem and low energy, both of which can put a damper on the way you feel about your personal time together. Your health effects your happiness, and your happiness effects everyone around you.

Only 11% of Americans eat the proper daily amount of fruits and vegetables. The average Americans diet is missing the naturally powerful, energy-boosting, nutrition found only in live raw whole foods. With fast-paced and hectic lifestyles, millions of Americans are turning to supplements and energy drinks to give them a boost of energy.

Americans waste $20 billion a year on synthetic supplements. Synthetic supplements are 50-70% less effective than natural nutrition. Another popular “pick-me-up” is energy drinks. Not only do they contain high amounts of caffeine but some even contain synthetic caffeine. The average drink contains 40 grams of refined sugar and/or, is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup.

Americans are drinking these things like crazy. These can be dangerous to our health. A study done at Wayne State University showed even perfectly healthy adults who drank 2 or more energy drinks a day had an increase in blood pressure and heart rate. Some of the side effects from high doses of sugar or caffeine are anxiety, sleeplessness, nausea and irritability.

The natural alternative to caffeine or unhealthy stimulants is a diet rich in raw whole foods and regular exercise.

If you want to supplement your diet with one source for complete organic whole food nutrition, check out The Feast. The Feast contains over 70 nutrient rich live whole foods. It also has a Supercharged version with energizing berries, seeds & leaves.

Protein is an important nutrient needed for a healthy balanced diet. When you think of the different food groups, protein has always been in a separate box than the vegetables. We have been taught that you can get this in the form of chicken, red meat, eggs and fish.

What about protein in vegetables? Green Vegetables are said to be the most nutrient dense of all foods. Most Americans do not realize that green vegetables contain protein.

So what is the difference between Animal Protein and Plant Protein? Animal protein simply does not contain the nutrients that protect us against cancer and disease. Plant Protein is low in calories and rich in nutrients.

When you compare 100 calorie portions of broccoli to sirloin, the results are shocking. Broccoli has more than twice as much protein than the sirloin without the cholesterol and saturated fat. It also has vitamins, phytochemicals, antioxidants and fiber that the sirloin does not.

Americans are only consuming 7% of their diet with unrefined plant foods. Dairy and animal foods are at 42%, but refined and processed foods are at a scary 51%. It is no wonder that cancer and heart attack are the top two killers among Americans.

It is much easier to prevent cancer and disease than to treat it. There is no doubt that we need more Whole Food Nutrition and regular exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately, we do not eat enough unrefined foods. It is vital to our health to get this nutrition.

With these shocking statistics, it is no wonder that over 50% of Americans are turning to supplements to aid in their nutritional intake. Besides a healthy balanced Organic diet, two great ways to ensure your nutritional needs are taking a Whole Food Daily Vitamin or Organic Whole Food Supplements. This is a natural alternative to supplementing your diet.

Many people contemplate spending money on Organic Whole Food Supplements. Believe me, I was one of them. Unless you are aware of the benefits it is hard to justify if the money is worth it.

The average American consumes less than 10% of fresh, whole, unrefined foods in their diet. These are the foods that promote health, healing, immunity and prevention. We need this nutrition for our bodies to function properly. There are essential nutrients in these foods that can not be reproduced synthetically to have the same effect as they would had we consumed them naturally.

The next best thing to eating fresh, whole, unrefined foods is to supplement with a product that is made out of whole foods. Americans know they are not eating enough to maintain a healthy diet and more than 50% rely on supplements to fill their nutritional needs. Synthetic vitamins tend to be cheaper than Organic Whole Food Supplements. In fact, you can usually get 2-3 bottles for what you would pay for the Organic Whole Food Supplements.

But why scrimp on the cost of a product that is so vital to your health? If you do not eat right and you rely on supplements, you should at least get supplements that was made from whole foods instead of a lab. What cracks me up is when people smoke or drink and waste money on an unhealthy lifestyle but can not justify making an investment in their health.

When you get the nutrition you need your body is not constantly craving unhealthy foods. When you eat unhealthy, your body does not get the nutrients it needs so you tend to eat more because your body is constantly trying to make up for missing nutrients.

Being healthy is a lifestyle. The demand for Organic Products is growing and more people want to take an active part in the environment and their health. Buying Organic is one way to accomplish both.

According to the U. S. Department of Agriculture, the land where these foods are grown or raised must be free from herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers and other potential toxins for at least 3 years.

Organic produce or the soil it is grown in has not been treated with chemicals or fertilizers. Plants that have not been coated in pesticides contain more nutrients and develop stronger compounds to fight off disease. We also benefit from these disease fighting compounds when we eat these foods. Usually, organic produce comes from local farms and does not have to be picked as early as conventionally grown produce. Ripe produce is considered better tasting and more flavorful. Besides the use of chemical treatments, conventionally grown produce is often picked too early to ensure survival during the shipping process.

Organic meat and eggs have not been treated with antibiotics or hormones. The animals are also raised on clean land and given food that has no animal by-products or been genetically altered in any way. Conventionally raised animals are given antibiotics and hormones to increase growth, milk production and fight off disease. These treatments are then passed on to consumers in the animals fat cells. Choosing a lower fat product may reduce your exposure to these chemicals, but only organic can guarentee that it is chemical free.

Organic milk is held to the same standards of the meat and eggs category. The cows are not fed any food that has animal by-products or that has been genetically altered. Studies have shown organic milk to have higher levels of Omega 3’s, antioxidants and minerals.

Millions of people are choosing supplements to help meet their dietary needs. In order to achieve optimum nutrition we need to consume 6-8 servings of whole foods a day. Our bodies need whole foods to maintain health, healing, immunity and prevention. Unfortunately, few people manage to consume the recommended daily amount of fruits, vegetables, grains, seeds and nuts. These contain nutrients our bodies need and crave for healthy function. Whole food supplements can be an effective way to ensure a healthy diet and prevent nutritional deficiencies and the symptoms that are associated with them.

Our bodies were made to absorb nutritional substances from food. Most over the counter vitamins and supplements are synthetic, meaning they contain chemical substances that have been produced to mimic the molecular structure of natural vitamins. Synthetic vitamins can have a drug-like effect as our body tries to compensate for missing components. Unlike synthetic vitamins, whole food supplements:

*do not contain chemicals, additives, synthetic or isolate ingredients

*only contain nutrition found in complete whole foods

*do not contain sea shell, rock or coral derivatives

*contain homeopathic minerals

*offer a lacto-vegetarian formula

We are exposed to toxins from the air we breathe to the food we eat. Organic whole foods can provide the nutrition our bodies need without the chemicals or toxins found in foods today. With todays busy lifestyle, the demand for convenience foods are at an all time high. These foods are chemically modified and processed to the point of little or no nutritional value.

Not all of us have access to whole food markets that carry organic choices or maintain diets that provides us with complete nutrition. If you are falling short of meeting your bodies nutritional needs, talk to your health care provider about the benefits of organic whole food supplements.
